Is the 10-cartridge option a mixed assortment?
The 10 additional cartridges follow the single type named in your selected option. For example, choosing Nano Round adds a pack of 10 Nano Round cartridges to your M9 kit.
Does my choice change the pen itself?
The options identify the same M9 model, paired with your chosen plug and cartridge pack. Selecting a different needle count does not upgrade the motor or add a new treatment function.
What comes with the device?
You receive the M9 kit with one pen, one stand/base, one power adapter in your selected plug type, one charging cable and one user manual, plus 10 additional M9 cartridges in your selected type. Serum is not included.
Are serums or preparation supplies included?
Serum is not included. Ask your practitioner which preparation and aftercare supplies are appropriate, and arrange them separately.

Professional microneedling may improve the appearance of healed acne scars, fine lines, uneven texture and stretch marks. Suitability needs assessment; these general uses do not establish an M9-specific result.
Can I use it on active acne?
Do not needle inflamed pimples, open wounds or infected skin. Healed indented acne scars are different from active acne and flat post-acne marks; ask a dermatologist to identify the concern first.
Which of 18-, 36- or 42-pin should I choose?

Is a higher needle count better for scars?

How is Nano Round different?
Nano Round is the surface-skincare option, commonly positioned for hydration-focused routines and a smoother, more radiant-looking finish. It is not interchangeable with microneedling for indented scars. Check formulation suitability and the intended procedure before choosing.
Can it permanently remove pores or scars?
Do not expect permanent pore removal or complete scar removal. Discuss realistic improvement and alternative treatments with your practitioner.
Can I use M9 on my scalp?
Scalp treatment requires assessment of the cause of hair loss and an appropriate plan. This listing does not establish hair regrowth from M9 alone or provide a scalp treatment protocol.
Can I use other Dr. Pen cartridges?
Use cartridges explicitly specified for M9’s chip-recognised interface. Do not substitute H6, M8 or another model’s cartridge based on appearance or brand name.
Setup & controls
How is the cartridge attached?
With the pen off, align the cartridge arrow with the unlock mark. Insert gently, then turn clockwise to lock as shown in the M9 manual. Do not force the connection.
What do the green and red indicators mean?
The manual uses green for a recognised, correctly fitted cartridge; red can indicate incorrect fitting or an unrecognised cartridge. Red alone does not prove counterfeiting. Stop and check the fit and model before proceeding.
How do I switch it on and change speed?
Hold the power/speed button for about two seconds to switch on or off. A short press while on cycles through six speed levels. Confirm the displayed level before use.
How do I change the depth?
Use the dedicated DEPTH button and read the displayed value. The specified range is 0–2.5 mm. Follow the manual for the available steps; the maximum is not a recommended setting.
Does the screen light treat the skin?
The illuminated display and status indicators communicate device information. They should not be interpreted as red/blue LED skin therapy.
Does M9 dispense serum automatically?
The M9 controls and cartridge system described here do not provide H6-style reservoir dispensing. Do not pour serum into the device or treat the cartridge as a refillable tank.
Is the stand a steriliser or wireless charger?
The stand gives the pen a dedicated resting place. Do not rely on it to sterilise the cartridge or assume it charges wirelessly. Use the specified Type-C charging connection.
How long does charging take?
The M9 manual reviewed specifies approximately three hours for a full charging cycle. Check the supplied manual and on-screen charging status, as actual time varies with conditions.
What if the pen will not start or recognise the cartridge?

How do I clean and store the device?

How do I dispose of used cartridges?
Place used needle cartridges in an appropriate sharps container and follow local disposal requirements. Keep used cartridges away from children and other people.
